Dr. Kavita Bhatt, Author ID: orcid.org/0000-0002-3685-429X , was born in Tehri Garhwal (Uttarakhand) in 1979. She has been honored with the title ‘Shailputri’ during an esteemed program by Patel Pratinidhi Sabha, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She studied science early in life and later obtained master’s degrees in four subjects i.e. Philosophy, Yoga, English, and Social Work. She has various diplomas including Woman Empowerment in her credit. Her doctoral thesis in Philosophy explored yogic practices as described in Gheranda Sanhita an ancient Hathyogic Text. Her research includes the applied, philosophical, psychological and spiritual aspects of various yogic practices. She qualified the UGC-NET exam in the subjects Philosophy and Yoga.  She has been awarded Junior Research Fellowship and General Research Fellowship by Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Woman) by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. 

Dr. Kavita Bhatt has been a prolific writer, editor and orator. She has published twenty-four books, several of which are awarded and recommended by universities as a part of curriculum. Dr. Kavita Bhatt has authored the books for Yogic Studies focusing the practices of Shatkarmas and Pratyahar etc. as well as Geeta Darshan, Bharteeya Sahitya me Jivan Moolya and many more. She got honored as first author who published the books for the examination of UGC NET-SLET, Ph D, PG entrance in Hindi and English both medium. These writings got best remarks of appreciation by academic fraternity. She has published hundreds of pieces including research papers, popular articles, and poems etc. She is Editor of Nilambara (E-Magazine) and Associate Editor of Jigyasa (the research journal of Sciences, Unmesh, Bharat). As a matter of regard Dr. Bhatt was nominated as the representative from India, member of Editorial of Hindi-Chetana (An International Hindi Magazine). And, presently she is working as member of Advisory Board in the same and many more.

She has a vast experience of teaching and research in field of higher education. she has also been invited for lectures, thematic talks, panel discussions, and poetry recital by various foreign platforms including United Kingdom, Mauritius, Nepal, and UAE etc.  She has been also invited for the same by Indian Embassy, High Commission of India, Vishwa Hindi Sachivaalay, various ministries, Govt. of India, Sahitya Academies, All lndia Radio (Prasar Bharati) and Door Darshan (Prasar Bharati) etc. Her creative and academic pieces of writing have been translated in various languages including Sanskrit, English, Bangla, Gujrati, Hariyanavi, Marathi, Panjabi, Odia, Pali and Garhwali etc.  The well-known Marathi Kathak Nrityangana Ms. Urvi Prajkta Suki has been performed Kathak Nritya on the poems of Dr. Bhatt which was composed by famous music composure Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasiya. Dr. Kavita Bhatt is the first writer who world-wide edited and translated Haikus from Hindi to Garhwali Language. She is regularly working for such worldwide editing and translation works. 

Dr. Bhatt has been conferred various awards from International and National agencies including Hindi-Chetana Srijan Samman by Hindi-Chetana International Magazine (Hindi- Pracharini Sabha), Canada, Loknayak JP Award by Loknayak Jay Prakash Narayan International Study and Research Centre, Bharat, Fyonli Kauthig Samman by Seva International, Bharat, Arunima Sinha Special Woman Achiever Award by The International Association of Lions Clubs and Great Freedom Fighter Dayal Singh Smriti  Samman by Akhil Bharteeya Uttarakhand Mahasabha, Bharat and Shakti Samman by Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Bharat and many more  for her noted contribution in creative, academic and literary writing.

Dr. Kavita Bhatt has been nominated a member of Program Advisory Committee by the NCSTC under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 2020. She has worked as a member to drafting committee the Himalayan People Policy for all Himalyan States.  Sanskriti Vibhag and various Sahitya Academies nominated and invited her as jury member in selection committees for various national-state level awards for Hindi literature including Maithilisharan Gupt and Maharshi Ved Vyas Samman etc.  She also carries successfully the responsibilities of the Converner (State Level), Shodh Prakalp, Rashtreey Siksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Bharat, General Secretary (National) of Unmesh, Bharat, President (Uttarakhand State), Hindi Sahitya Bharti (International), Bharat.

Presently, she is serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Philosophy, HNB Garhwal University (A Central University), Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand.  She has a vast academic experience and dedicated to organize the Teaching Training Programs for the faculties of Higher Education.   She is a devoted researcher and academic fellow in fields of Philosophy, and Yoga. She is also the Managing Trustee of Shailputri Foundation.
